YOUNG GUNS
Two young bucks when it was the wild west, a blank canvas and the world really wasn't watching... A smallish, worldwide group were the front of the pack that became a culture... 1990?...

Tomorrow is the opening of my little tokyo surfboard gallery, I am buttoning up the whole situation as I write this sentence... Stoked with the feeling the space is starting to embrace...

TOKYO BOUND
Boxed up and on it's way, 22 surfboards left yesterday for Tokyo shop opening, this is the rest of the stuff... Stoked so far with the way things are shaping up...

TRAVELING

Just got back to Santa Barbara from the east coast, please excuse the lag on the blog front... Hit New York and Boston on a spring break loop with my oldest son... Checked out colleges, how did that come up so quick I ask?.. Anyway, putting the last of the puzzle together for the Tokyo joint that will open in a few weeks, looking sick...

SINGLE
A fresh "swingin' single" from the glasshop with a new fin template I did just for this series... Hand foiled by Chuck Ames here in the Santa Barbara area... Those are a couple of "fish and chip" models hanging in the back...

TOKYO SLEDS
Almost done with the sticks for the new S/Double boardshop I am opening next month in Tokyo... Every board 100% handshaped by me in the Santa Barbara studio... I figure by the amount of time each one takes I am clearing about 10 cents an hour, but could not be happier... We don't need no stinking computers... I will tune you in more on the opening as it gets closer to the date...

SWINGIN' SINGLES

Stoked with these single fin neo-seventies things I have been shaping lately... Wide point forward, pulled tails, solid old stussy style beaks up front and clean modern bottoms... These are just roughed blanks in the photos, but they finished up really nice... Think Owl Chapman or Terry Fitz with knees bowed and arms in just the right relaxed position...
